Jamie Woon album "Mirrorwriting" has been out for a little more than 2 weeks. I'm still heavily hooked on it and it's probably the best album i've heard so far this year. Beautiful, soulful, atmospheric, kind of dark album which has been produced by Jamie himself with a bit of help by Burial. Some call it post-dubstep, some call it modern soul and many other things, I call it beautiful piece of music that you should listen and be blown away by his calm, peaceful voice and beautiful melodies. Burials influence can be easily heard, especially on "Night Air" which became big sometimes around new year i think. I really couldn't say for one particular song from the album that it's my favourite, Night Air, Street, Lady Luck, Shoulda, Spirals... All are truly amazing. I managed to get many of my friends hooked on this album and i had to share it here also. Read NME's track by track review here. Listen to some of Jamie's songs below, grab yourself Deadboy remix of Night Air, watch the video for Night Air after the jump and be sure to buy the album. Enjoy
