Funkanomics are coming to our city on may 20th. 4Jays are throwing this party and it's gonna be held in the amphitheathre of the Youth House. German trio who rock dancefloors with their mixture of breaks, funk, hiphop, electro and dubstep are gonna present theirselves with unique set on 4 turntables, 2 cdjs, samplers, fx units and heaps of good music. Expect mashup of everything and expect a lot of dancing action. Check out facebook event and some of Funkanomics music below. Latest Fools Gold Podcast is done by Canblaster. Club Cheval crew youngest member and currently one of my favourite producers with his unique style of heavy bass club music. In the words of Fools Gold he's a dude  "who burst on the scene like a synth-wielding Harry Potter with facemelting singles like “Jetpack,” “Clockworks,” and a gleefully warped collection of remixes". Jamie Woon - Mirrorwriting

Jamie Woon album "Mirrorwriting" has been out for a little more than 2 weeks. I'm still heavily hooked on it and it's probably the best album i've heard so far this year. Beautiful, soulful, atmospheric, kind of dark album which has been produced by Jamie himself with a bit of help by Burial. Some call it post-dubstep, some call it modern soul and many other things, I call it beautiful piece of music that you should listen and be blown away by his calm, peaceful voice and beautiful melodies. Burials influence can be easily heard, especially on "Night Air" which became big sometimes around new year i think. I really couldn't say for one particular song from the album that it's my favourite, Night Air, Street, Lady Luck, Shoulda, Spirals... All are truly amazing. I managed to get many of my friends hooked on this album and i had to share it here also. Read NME's track by track review here.
